My name is Lynne Szamlewski, I’m married with 2 grown children. Now that my husband and I are alone, we’ve started doing all the traveling we couldn’t do when the kids we’re small.
With all those years of stored kid pictures and now the travel pictures, I have a lot of scrapbooking to do and would love to share what I’ve learned so far with you.
I know first hand how frustrating it is to know that all those years of pictures and memories I currently have stored in boxes in the closet and basement could one day be damaged due to improper storage and that the best way to preserve these irreplaceable items, is to scrapbook them but are not quite sure how to go about it.
I think I know what it is that you are try to accomplish and understand how you feel when you are searching for simple, basic instruction online and just can’t seem to find that on the available websites, those only provide instructions to avid scrapbookers and can be quite confusing.
Why is it that there are plenty of scrapbook layout designs & techniques but NO simple, step by step instructions?
Every website is packed full of links to technique after technique. So much so that getting lost is almost inevitable! Why is it that every magazine or book on Scrapbooking is so full of advertising that the projects themselves show very little detail except to the products involved and never give any suggestion to variation?
Do-it-yourself scrapbooking is supposed to be easy, fun and fulfilling.
For the longest time, I’ve searched online, to no resolve, for simple instructions that would help me get started. I’ve attended a few at-home classes but did not find them very beginner friendly and there wasn’t much one on one time with basic direction.
That’s when I turned to my sister-in-law for guidance. She has been creating beautiful scrapbooks for over 10 years and has a multitude of books in her collection.
With her knowledge and expertise, we have created this e-book to help others begin their own family’s scrapbook library of memories and share our hobby with those with the same interest.
